Having an office party? Then you need to have some fun office party games. Here some some ideas to help you get started.
Some common games:
Newspaper Dancing- Get all guests to stand next to each table. The emcee will play a song while the table guests will balance on a
sheet of a newspaper. Should anyone fall off the newspaper, the team is disqualified. The newspaper will then be folded in half and the
team will have to balance on the remaining piece. The last team to be able to balance on the smallest piece of newspaper will win.
Scavenger Hunt- Create a list of clues for your party-themed items. Make sure you hide the items around the room. Your colleagues have
to solve their clues before looking for the item. The first group to find all of the items on the list wins. This is a great game for departments
to work together.
Cotton Ball Transfer- This is a funny game which can get everybody laughing in no time. You will need 2 chairs,
2 buckets, cotton balls, a large serving spoon, a blind fold and a timer. Place the two chairs about ten feet apart. Place the bucket in each chairs. Have all the cotton balls in one of the buckets. Use the blindfold on the first player before spinning the player
around a couple of times. After that, position the player in front of the bucket that has the cotton balls. Hand the player a spoon and let the player have a feel of where the bucket is. The group has 2 minutes to scoop up as many cotton balls as possible and placed them into the other bucket.
Each one will take their turns. After each turn, cotton wools are couted. The one who has the most number of cotton wool in the other bucket is the winner.
In writing, this game does not sound much but give it a chance and you may be surprise at the outcome. It is actually quite a funny sight to see your co-workers at work.

Office Party Tip #1
Depending on the theme of the party, you need to dress suitably. While you do not have to wear a suit and tie, you should not dress
down or too casually. Torn jeans and sneakers may not be appropriate. When in doubt, ask. |
Office Party Tip #2
Tell jokes that are entertaining but not rude. When in doubt, don't. Often when people think they are entertaining, they are not.
Remember that what seems funny to one person can be offensive to someone else. |
Office Party Tip #3
Show Appreciation. Nothing is better than a simple thank you to the party organizers. You can truly make their day by showing that you appreciate their
efforts and time in organizing the party for your office. |
